Highlands is a town in Macon County in the U.S. state of North Carolina. It is located on a plateau in the southern Appalachian Mountains, within the Nantahala National Forest. Log Cabin Restaurant
The Log Cabin Restaurant was one of a number of log structures designed by Joe Webb in the 1920's. This particular cabin was constructed in 1924, and since then has earned the reputation of serving "some of the best cuisine the Highlands has to offer".
However, the restaurant also offers something unearthly. Witnesses have reported seeing a figure out of the corner of their eye, the feeling of being watched, lights have been turned on, and the apparition of a woman has been sighted walking through the dining room.
